La storia dell'arte riguarda i limiti espressivi dell'uomo e mai il contrario.
Il successo di un lavoro diventa il fallimento storico di ciò a cui si è creduto. Le differenze qualitative servono a conservare le opere d'arte come masse ancora giudicabili. Affermiamo di noi sempre la nostra
caricatura.
Quello che riteniamo affascinante è solo grossolanamente più evidente di quello che consideriamo normale. La differenza tra ciò che ci attrae e ciò che non ci attrae non è nelle cose ma in noi. Amavo di te la pena di una persona non amata. È stato così triste volerti bene.
